Who WE Are
Coati concepts was created by bryson lockaby in 2023 after he received countless requests from competitive shooters wanting to buy gear that he built for himself. Coati started as limited custom made gear and has evolved into a full fledged machine shop along with production and development capabilities for sewn and 3d printed equipment.
All Coati products have a purpose. Before they became an item with a price tag they were problems, experiences, stories, and finally solutions. These products exist today because at some point they were needed and nobody else was going to make them.

"As a backcountry hunter and competitive shooter Coati Concepts is everything that I’ve wished existed. I have come to expect certain characteristics from my equipment that individually are difficult to find but are nearly impossible to find all together. I need unwavering performance and excessive durability. I like gear possessing extreme function, and I want exceptional craftsmanship to be abundant in the things I use. I also expect a company to take care of me when something inevitably goes wrong. All of these factors, along with better designs and unique function, seem like the bare minimum to me and are far too difficult to find in products today. This is why I began designing and making gear for myself."
Our equipment is born in the mountains, refined on the range, and held to the highest standards—not because that sounds good, but because that’s what we expect of everything. If it doesn’t give you a clear advantage or do something nothing else can, we don’t make it.
We didn’t set out to build products—we set out to solve problems. Every piece of gear we make started as a tool we needed ourselves. Nothing was designed to be sold; it was designed to be used, hard, and without compromise.
We put mission first, product second. This isn’t about trends, gimmicks, or sales. It’s about building tools that work when nothing else will.
